For beauty and skincare brands

When someone asks AI what to put on their skin, see which bottle it points to.

Beauty shoppers ask AI tools to build routines, decode ingredient lists and find products for a skin concern. Found in AI puts those questions to five AI tools each month and shows whether your formulas come up or a competitor's do.

What is a fragrance-free vitamin C serum that will not irritate rosacea-prone skin?

For reactive skin, a lower concentration of a gentler derivative is usually suggested. Competitor B uses 10 percent ascorbyl glucoside, lists its pH and states it was patch tested on sensitive skin.

How buyers decide

Beauty buying has become research. Shoppers arrive with an ingredient they read about, a skin concern and a list of things they want to avoid, and they ask AI tools to sort the market for them. The answers quote concentrations, pH, formats and what a product leaves out, so a brand page that only promises glow and radiance has very little to offer the comparison.

Routine questions are the second big pattern. People ask what order to apply products in, whether retinol and vitamin C can share a routine, or what a minimal three step regimen looks like for oily skin. Brands that publish how their products fit together, with timings and cautions, become the natural example when an AI tool explains a routine.

Color cosmetics bring their own problem: shade. Someone asks for a foundation for olive skin with neutral undertones, or a concealer that will not look grey on deep skin. AI tools lean on shade descriptions, undertone labels and swatch notes in text. A shade finder that lives only inside a quiz or an image gives the answer nothing it can read.

Questions we would track

Eight questions from your customers, and who gets named.

Real questions a shopper types into an AI tool. Each card shows who the sample answer named.

What AI tools can use

Content that answers the questions in your trade.

We cannot decide what an AI tool says. What you can control is whether your website answers your customers' questions clearly. These are the kinds of pages that do.

  1. 01

The full ingredient list, in text

Publish the complete INCI list on each product page as text, plus the active concentration and pH where they matter. Shoppers ask about specific ingredients, and a photo of the carton cannot be quoted.

  2. 02

    Routine and layering guides

Explain which of your products go morning or night, in what order, and what not to combine. These guides answer the routine questions AI tools are asked constantly, with your products as the example.

  3. 03

    Shade descriptions in words

Describe each shade by depth and undertone, with notes on who it suits and how it oxidizes. A text shade guide is what an answer about matching a skin tone can draw on.

  4. 04

    Testing and certifications

State what was tested and how: dermatologist reviewed, patch tested on sensitive skin, non-comedogenic testing, named cruelty-free and vegan certifications. Specific claims are the ones an answer can repeat.

Gaps

Where a competitor was named and you were not.

Every report lists these gaps, with an idea for what to publish to answer each question.

Questions about beauty and skincare brands

Can you track questions about one ingredient or skin concern?

Yes. Track the exact questions your customers ask, such as an ingredient, a concern like hyperpigmentation or a shade range. Each scan asks five AI tools and records which brands appear.

Can you promise our serum will be recommended?

No. Nobody can guarantee what an AI tool recommends. We show where your products are named and missing, and help you publish clearer ingredient, routine and shade information so you can see whether answers change.

Do you make medical or efficacy claims in the drafts?

Drafts are written from what you already publish about your formulas, and you review every word before anything goes live. Claims about treating a condition stay your decision and your responsibility to substantiate.

We have dozens of shades and sizes. Is that a problem?

No. Questions are tracked by what shoppers ask, not by SKU. One question about a shade range covers every shade in it, and the gap list shows which ranges a competitor wins.

Not just another AI tracker

More than a score. Four things a tracker leaves out.

A tracker tells you whether you were named. Found in AI shows where a competitor wins, writes the answer (and publishes it, where your site supports one-click publishing), and puts an AI analyst and a real agency behind it.

Gap analysis

Every question where AI names a competitor and not you, ranked by what it costs you. Few tools show this.
