How it works
The same questions, asked the same way, every scan.
Found in AI is a measurement loop. We ask the AI tools your customers use the questions they ask, read every answer, and write down who was named. Because the questions never drift, each report can be compared with the last.

The loop
Five steps, start to finish.
Pick your questions
The questions your customers really ask, up to 25, written for your trade and your city.
We ask the AI tools
Every scan puts each question to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
We read every answer
Whether you are named, whether you are linked, which competitors are named and in what order.
You see the gaps
Questions where a competitor was named and you were not, with what to publish to answer them.
You track the trend
A score, a grade and what changed since your last scan, on every report.
Step 1
Choosing your questions.
You track up to 25 questions. We start from the questions customers in your trade really ask an AI tool, written in their words, for your city and the services you offer.
Then you edit the list. Remove a service you do not offer, add the one you most want to be known for, change the city. A good list mixes the broad question (who is the best dentist near me) with the specific one (who takes my insurance and is open Saturday).
Sample questions for a dental practice
- Which dentist near me takes Delta Dental?
- Emergency dentist open on Saturday near me
- Best family dentist that sees toddlers
- How much do clear aligners cost at a local dentist?
- Dentist that offers sedation for anxious patients
- Who does same-day crowns near me?
- Dentist with evening appointments after work
- Is there a dentist near me that does payment plans?
Step 2
A scan across five AI tools.
On every scan, each tracked question is put to all 5 AI tools. That is up to 125 answers per scan, each one stored as it came back.
The tools do not agree with each other. One may name you and link your site, another may name three competitors and leave you out. Reading all five is the only way to know what a customer sees, since you cannot tell which one they used.

Step 3
What we record in every answer.
Four facts per answer, the same four every time. The window below is a sample answer with the businesses highlighted.
Which dentist near me takes Delta Dental and sees kids?
Two nearby options list Delta Dental PPO on their insurance pages. Competitor A has a pediatric section and evening hours on Tuesdays, and Competitor B states it sees patients from age three. Call ahead to confirm your specific plan is in network.
Named
Does the answer mention your business by name, anywhere in the text?
Linked
Does it link to your website, or cite it as a source?
Competitors
Which other businesses does it name, and how many?
Position
Where you sit among the businesses named: first of three, third of four.
| Question | ChatGPT | Claude | Perplexity | Gemini | Google AI Overviews |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Which dentist near me takes Delta Dental? | Named and linked | Named | Named and linked | Competitor named, you were not | Named |

| Dentist with sedation for anxious patients | Named and linked | Competitor named, you were not | Named | No business named | Named and linked |
Step 4
Score, grade and trend.
Every scan rolls those answers up into an AI Visibility Score from 0 to 100 and a letter grade, built from how often you were named and linked across all your tracked answers.
The trend line keeps the history, and every report opens with what changed since your last scan: a question where you are newly named, one where a competitor took your place.
Step 5
The leaderboard.
Across all your tracked answers, the leaderboard shows the share that name each business, you included. It tells you who the AI tools reach for in your trade, and how far you are from them. Competitors are shown the way the answers name them.
Step 6
Gaps, and what to publish.
A gap is a question where at least one AI tool named a competitor and did not name you. The gap report lists each one, who was named instead, and a suggestion of what to publish so your website answers that question plainly.
You choose what to write and where it goes, on the website you already have. Then the next scan shows what the AI tools say after it.
On a website hosted on WorkspaceCMS Premium, AI Blog Writer can draft the post for each gap and you also get an AI crawler report. Those two features work only on WorkspaceCMS-hosted sites.
How often
Monthly or weekly.
Connect: every month
All 25 questions across all 5 AI tools, once a month. Enough to follow the trend and work through your gaps.
Connect Plus: every week
The same 25 questions across the same 5 tools, every week. For businesses that publish often and want to see the effect sooner.
What it does not do
We measure. We do not control the answers.
It does not control, buy or influence what an AI tool says. Each tool writes its own answers from its own sources.
It does not guarantee any result. A gap you answer may change the next answer, or may not.
It does not watch answers live. It scans on a schedule: monthly on Connect, weekly on Connect Plus.
It does not publish anything on your website for you. You decide what to write and when.
Questions
About the scan.
Why not just ask ChatGPT myself?
You can, and you will get one answer from one tool, worded for you. Found in AI asks up to 25 questions across 5 tools the same way each time and keeps the history, so you can see a trend instead of a single moment.
Do answers change from one scan to the next?
Yes. AI tools change their sources and their wording, and competitors publish too. That is why the report leads with what changed since your last scan.
Will following the gap suggestions get me named?
Results are not guaranteed, and no one can guarantee what an AI tool says. The suggestions point at questions your website does not answer clearly yet. Publishing those answers gives the tools something to read, and the next scan records what they say.
Does it work if my website is not on WorkspaceCMS?
Yes. Tracking works on any website, on any platform. Only the AI Blog Writer drafts and the AI crawler report need a WorkspaceCMS-hosted site.
Every example on this site is a sample with fictional businesses. It shows what a report looks like, not a result anyone was promised.
